GSA Schedules are a type of Federal Government Contract called Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contracts. In these, the Government contracts to many companies who supply services and products, at negotiated prices.
The Government then offers the products and services described in these MAS contracts to all Federal Agencies via the internet. Agencies wishing to buy something offered in a MAS contract are not required to engage in competitive bidding. Rather, they only need to contact the MAS contractor and purchase the items needed through the use of a Purchase Order.
